This Privacy Policy describes how Canada Pickleball Courts (“we”) collects, uses, and shares information when you create an account, claim a listing, or post content on the Service. It supplements information about court data described on our About page.

2. Information we collect

• Account data — email address, password (hashed), username, and optional first and last name.
• Authentication — if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and basic profile info as authorized by Google.
• User Content — photos, comments, listing edits, and listing claim submissions you provide.
• Usage data — basic server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) used to operate and secure the Service.
• Profile images — we use Gravatar based on the hash of your email address. We do not host avatar uploads.

3. How we use it

We use this information to operate the Service, authenticate you, attribute contributions, communicate transactional account messages (e.g., verify email, reset password), moderate User Content, and respond to abuse reports.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers who host our infrastructure and authentication (e.g., Supabase, hosting and email providers) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• The public — your username, first name, and any User Content you post are publicly visible on the Service.
• Legal authorities when required by law or to investigate abuse.

5. Cookies

6. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile is removed and your User Content is either anonymized or deleted. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging purposes.

8. Children
